Move and Shoot Drill
I would consider this skill to be overlooked by most young players. This skill is essential for success in any level of paintball. It is difficult to perfect but this easy drill can set you on your way.
- Set up a target about 20-40 feet away. (I have found that hanging an old mask, or a pop bottle from a tree or on top of a bunker works well)
- Start slow, only walk towards your target while firing, you should notice that as you move your angle to the target changes, make adjustments so you are hitting the target a good majority of the time
- Next go to a jog, keep going faster till you get to an all out sprint.
To take this drill to the next level move the target a few times so you have to adjust each time, also you can turn this into a snap shooting drill. Set your target up and get in a bunker, take 2-4 snapshots and then sprint to your next bunker while shooting on the run, this makes the drill more tournament like, if you really want to make things interesting get a teammate or friend and have them do the same thing to see if you can hit each other! Have fun and stay safe Michigan!
Stay tuned for more updates from Mach, as we go into the Winter season there are many indoor fields, in a future post I hope to review many of them.
